Lucy (they/she) brings nearly 10 years of experience to their work as a public health consultant. Having earned a bachelors of science in kinesiology at the University of Virginia, they applied their expertise in nutrition and public health in their role as a Maternal and Child Health Specialist with the Peace Corps in Guinea. Following their time in West Africa, Lucy worked for Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital as a Health Educator and then as a Program Manager for the Illinois Public Health Institute (both located in Chicago, Illinois). These positions equipped them with the skills to analyze policies and systems with a lens towards health equity, engage community members, and develop and disseminate social determinants of health programming.

B. Lucy Peterson, LLC launched in January 2023 when Lucy relocated to Amsterdam, Netherlands. They are currently working remotely and are licensed to seek contracts in both the United States and the Netherlands.
